We installed Aruba Networks Wireless WAN at all of our offices in place of a physical network connection. Wireless WAN is cheaper and more efficient for users. Wireless WAN allows users to move around and hotel office space with ease. Wireless WAN also is more secure than in many cases over wire connection.
  • Management
  • Wide range coverage
  • 11ax support
  • Cost saving over wire
  • Clearpass management
  • Software licensing is expensive
  • More integration with third party monitoring system
Moving to a new location or office, I would recommend going wireless over the traditional cable drops for wire connections. Cost saving is easily justified over wire connection. With 802.11ax support, you have better coverage and security.

  • Cost saving over cable drops.
  • Good coverage and speed.
  • Allow users to move around and work in area not possible with wire connection.
Aruba Networks Wireless WAN is less expensive and has a better warranty than Cisco. The setup for both systems is about the same. The only drawback is Cisco products are supported more by third parties monitor systems.

Aruba Networks Wireless WAN is used by many of our esteemed customers to meet multiple business objectives including providing seamless wireless access with an eye on access control and secure data transfer. The product is known for its reliability, stability, and ease of use. The fully functional cloud-enabled solution is easy to implement and meets most of the organization's requirements for providing connectivity to its employees as well as guests using a defined mechanism.
  • Implementation is straight-forward.
  • Ease of administration is superb.
  • Custom roles based on access restrictions can be defined.
  • Centralized management for both employees as well as guest registrants.
  • Licensing is slightly complicated and not bundled, separate costs for cloud controller is a no-no.
  • UI needs an uplift.
  • Coverage is good but can be better.
Aruba Networks Wireless WAN is an excellent solution for small to medium-sized implementation, especially on-premise. The ability to centrally manage all policy-based access requirements for both registered users as well as guests using the portal is effortless. This is backed up by good documentation which is available and excellent vendor support (HP).
  • Central Management
  • Reliability and Stability
  • Logging capabilities and integration with other tools like SIEM, SOAR
  • Definitely positive ROI for our customers as it solves the connectivity issues for places that cannot be wired.
  • Ease of implementation ensures this is installed quickly during conferences with high scalability to ensure maximum coverage.
  • Added benefits in terms of additional capabilities when it is part of the Aruba/HPE ecosystem of network devices.
Aruba Networks Wireless WAN stacks really well against its other competitors for its features, ease of implementation, and administration. The pricing is very competitive with great vendor support and excellent documentation. The centralized management feature is really good as it provides a single pane of glass for all administrative items.

We were looking for a brand that could provide all our locations with a Wireless solution. This ranges from office location(s) with 300 users to sports halls and public swimming pools which all need different types of devices due to their characters. All these locations and devices should be manageable from a cloud-based interface. Aruba provides a wide range of devices that suited our use case and is manageable from the cloud.
  • Stable devices
  • Broad range of devices to choose from
  • Insightfull management pane
  • Ability to manage devices from anywhere
  • Simplified connection to Microsoft Azure
  • Availability of device addon's
  • Give even more information in the management pane
Aruba Networks is a product that is broadly available and there are many implementation partners available to design and implement the infrastructure for you. Aruba Networks is great if you are looking for a partner that offers a broad range of devices. It can keep a multi-location infrastructure simple once the management interface is set up. Aruba is less appropriate if you want to do a simple setup with a few devices where you want to be up and running quickly. The management interface can be a hassle to set up and if you want Azure integration you are better off contacting an implementation partner that has dealt with this before.
  • Easily extendable
  • Broad range of devices
  • Easily manageble from the cloud
  • Less travelling to other location for troubleshooting
  • Addon's for wifi devices are expensive which can negatively influence your ROI
  • Less time managing and keeping devices up to date due to one management interface.
We used Xirrus wifi before we moved to Aruba. Xirrus is a great niche brand that has been sold to other companies a few times in the life we used the products. This negatively impacted the product availability in our country, local support, and amount of implementation partners. Due to Aruba their broad product range, availability in the market, and knowledge with implementation partners we feel that we can build upon their products not only for a product cycle but for the decade to come.

They provide excellent coverage into rooms with thick walls and around corners as long as you have proper placement.
  • Easy to manage and setup
  • Provides strong coverage
  • Easy to mount
  • Ability to configure multiple networks and VLANS
  • We have better coverage for our visitors and during trainings
  • We have enough bandwidth to accommodate everyone
  • No more dead spots in the building that effects our users.
We had dead spots with the Cisco system. It was also harder to manage and our users were always dropping connections.
